Back when the Dev Kit launched in August, I don’t think anyone could have anticipated the amount of participation we would see or the sheer creativity that would be displayed in mods. Yet, here we are two mod contests later, looking at a phenomenal display of talent. From mods that allow you to survive in outer space, to NPC characters that live in the wild, to huge new maps that put an alternate twist on ARK’s environments, there is no shortage of imagination and ingenuity.When I first opened the development kit and began creating Primitive+, I only had one goal in mind: Provide people with a more immersive experience by expanding upon the primitive nature of the game. Little did I know it would present an opportunity of a lifetime – to have my work seen and played by millions of people.
