I don’t know, the Rangers just seemed kind of like jerks. But the party scene was nice, and I liked seeing more of the Beast Bots. Still solid, but not one of the best of the season.One thing I’m noticing that’s pretty cool though is that every episode seems to lead into the next. For the most part it’s episodic, but if you watch the whole thing through, one element of the previous episode leads into the next. The Rangers get a megazord, so in the next episode, the villains try to stop them from using it. The Rangers capture a Gigadrone, the next episode the villains try to use it to their advantage, and etc. God damn these Beast Bots are needy af.

The last thing the Rangers need is to coddle their robot assistants' feelings while trying to keep the city safe. That's hazardous.Nate is endangering people's lives by projecting his abandonment issues onto life or death circumstances and programming these bots to be the Rangers' emotional responsibility without gaining their consent. It's like he's forcing his need for companionship onto the Rangers in three different AI proxy formats. Is that creepy or what?Dr. K had similar personal issues but she never let them get in the way of her civic duty outside of a few quirky design choices and a couple candy binges here and there.Nate is turning out to be a petty lowkey creep.
He's the kind of person who will act like you're a monster if you don't reply to their text within 30 seconds. Alpha 6 was more bearable than this twerp and his needy robot extensions. Would love it if he became a villain later on like Micchy from Kamen Rider Gaim.This episode really pissed me off (even though it was well made.) Despite being pro-Beast Bots in the end, it worked better as a case against them. I don't care if they had a surprise party planned for the Rangers; this is not 'Happy Birthday Zack', nor is it MMPR. Beast Morphers has higher stakes than that and absolutely no time for such superficial concerns.
And let's be honest: the party was an experience the Beast Bots wanted, not what the Rangers wanted. It was about fulfilling their emotional wants and needs, not those of the Rangers, although they portrayed it that way.Also, all of the problems the Rangers encountered during the Bots' memory wipe happened due to user error. The characters acknowledged this themselves. (Even Nate, before he ran off to write a cryptic Facebook post about how robots are people too.) Had the Rangers been properly trained on how to operate such complex (and unnecessary) machinery, these hiccups wouldn't have happened in the first place.The only reason the Rangers were motivated to restore the Beast Bots' personalities was because the rabbit got salty about the tablet incident. If it wasn't for that, things would have been a lot more efficient at Grid Battleforce because the Rangers wouldn't have to make sure their Beast Bots don't get hurt if they wanted to focus on the very stressful and busy double lives that they are technically being forced to lead.Emotional manipulation is bad, kids.
What the heck are you talking about? Nate built the Beast Bots and designed them with personalities; he of all people knows that they are capable of having their feelings hurt. He didn't go on any rants and he didn't antagonize the Rangers for being dicks to the Beast Bots like you claim he did. He simply voiced his disapproval and then walked away when it was clear that they weren't getting why he was upset.Like I said before, the Beast Bots are programmed to want to serve the Rangers and also be their friends; throwing them a party was a natural culmination of those two goals.
What did the Beast Bots even do that pissed you off so much? Disobey an order to take a bad shortcut? Make an effort to not hurt their partner while sparring? Get rightfully upset when blamed for something that wasn't their fault?You say that the Rangers have to waste time to make sure the Beast Bots aren't hurt; but when has that ever been an issue aside from this episode where they were already being targeted by the bad guys? How is understanding when you've been a bad friend emotional manipulation?.
